There will be 3 cameras. All cameras will operate when the vehicle is running. This is to keep a visual record of what is going on. The cameras will show the driver’s perspective of the road, the front of the vehicle where the operator and partner is located, and in the rear of the vehicle where the passenger is located. By having these cameras operating, there will be that video record, and keep the officers on a professional manner of behavior. The camera roll will be loaded on to an SD card where the operator will take it back to their unit after their shift ends. If nothing of importance has happened, then the card can be erased, and reused. If there was something of importance, then that information will be logged with the report number. This feature is available only on N trim vehicles.
