All vehicles will support both Android Auto, and Apple Car Play. This will allow the automobile to navigate with maps within the phone, support GPS, and accept apps such as Pandora or Spotify on their console. In addition, incoming calls will show on the infotainment console, and allow the driver to see who’s calling with minimal time with eyes off the road. The vehicle will also notify the driver who’s calling, and allows them to answer the call with a push of a button on the steering wheel. In addition, there will be a phone dial pad where the driver can enter the phone number of the party they wish to call. This should only be done at red traffic lights.
For the Base Model, the driver will need to plug their phone in since the automobile does not support bluetooth. All other trims will support bluetooth, and therefore allow the phone to connect to the car wirelessly. The two devices have to have paired ahead of time for this to work. If there are two conflicting devices that wishes to pair with the auto, then there might be some confusion. It is best that only the operator’s phone pairs with the front panel.
